Chris,
You probably don’t remember me. But I helped promote the party in buffalo ny at club “E”. That’s where I first met you and your wife. And if I remember correctly that was your first US appearance. That was such an amazing time for the music. I’m so glad to be a part of it. I still listen to old live mixes from different hullabaloos I was at!
Hi Aaron,
Wow, yes that was a very early gig of mine. Well before the release of Happy2bHardcore Chapter 1.
Thanks for writing and sharing that memory. -frolic
Hi, I`m from Germany and got into this music in 95. I`ve got a big collection of Happy Hardcore, Breakbeat, Jungle, Trance music from the UK an Europe. I will never forget the day I bought your whole compilation in the US. The quality of the sound was better than on all the other cds from England. Much love to all of ya, see you in hardcore heaven!
Thank you for sharing that memory. Thanks for checking out my site :-).
I was also at the Club E performance as well as several Hullas afterwards. I got my first candy bracelet from your wife and still have it. I remember there was a mix with part of it that went “all i need, all i need, all i need is your love” but i’ve never heard it or been able to find it since. Any ideas? Thanks and we miss you!
Hi Nadia,
There’s an “All I Need” that appears on Happy2bHardcore Chapter 6 by Soaked.
Thanks for stopping in 🙂
Can’t believe I stumbled across this website. A friend of mine gave me a bootleg copy of Happy 2b Hardcore Volume 2 while in high school in Calgary and I was instantly hooked. Then I attended U of T dreaming of one day attending a Hulla. Finally got to go and it was one of the best moments of my life. Crazy memories of spending most evenings listening to you and Silver1 on Happy Hour while studying for exams.
That time of my life is all a bit of a blur, to be honest. Tried listening to some old tracks on Spotify on the way to work the other day and it just wasn’t the same. Can’t relive the past and all of that!
Thanks for the memories
You’re very welcome. I agree that we can’t relive the past and that is why my work these days is about pushing forwards in new ways. But I’m happy to have this site for anyone like yourself that feels a twang of nostalgia :-).
