I've heard quite a few happy hardcore releases this year, but not much that I really liked or wanted to hear again.  This one was different. Moonshine Records has now sold over 175,000 units in North America alone out of the Happy2bHardcore series. Now entering the year 2001; return Happy Hardcore DJ Anabolic Frolic speeding down from dance music hotbed Toronto, Canada at 180 BPM.  Anabolic Frolic has championed the Happy Hardcore sound on this, his fifth installment on Moonshine's Happy2bHardcore series.

Happy2bHardcore is filled with truly great Happy Hardcore/Breakbeat/Techno Anthems as the CD art states.  Happy Hardcorers will recognize some of the artists with tracks on this mix such as Scott Brown, Sy, and Anabolic Frolic himself (two of his own). One of the elements that I think make this mix stand out from the other happy hardcore releases of late is that the vocals are addicting in a Techno/Trancy way.  Plus, Anabolic Frolic's style is a little rougher (and a little less happy).  Strong inputs from Trance, Breakbeat, and Techno has made this album more desirable.  Check out "Lost Generation" by Artist Unknown with it Trancy Anthem inspiring feel. Another gem is Anobolic's track with Cru L T "Feels So Right" which has a strong hook that you'll find yourself humming later.
